Assume I use Teamviewers "File transfer" dialog to transfer a large local directory tree to the remote computer.

At first I mark in "File transfer" dialog the local top node of the directory tree and same in the target remote directory.

Now I click "send" and the files transfers starts.

What happens if a file already exists in the remote target directory?
Are all files brutally transferred or only missing/modified?
It seems to me the first is the case.

Is there a "copy only new/modified files" option?

Is the rule the same as if I do not use the "file transfer" dialog but drag & drop the top node folder from local WinExplorer onto
target folder in TeamViewer remote WinExplorer?

I always get asked about replacing files (individually)

As a matter of interest, why don't you zip (or 7z) all of these files into a single compressed file before transfer?
It'll probably reduce the transfer size too

Ok, this is a workaround.

However I prefer to not have think about such tricks.

When this feature is offered it should work without any problems.

Do you have an idea why these problems occur?

I don't have the same problem that you describe
