Cannot transfer files
« on: March 17, 2016, 07:40:12 AM »
Copying - pasting simply does not work for me.

I'm trying to transfer files from my Windows 7 computer to my older WinXP one in my home network. I have installed the latest version of Teamviewer in both machines. I have full access in the advanced options, sync clipboard enabled, etc. The options are all correct in both machines.

Things i tried:

Right clicking the mouse, copy - paste. Doesn't work, paste is grayed out.
Click and drag. Nothing happens.
Ctrl C + Ctrl V. Nothing happens.
Tried restarting Teamviewer in both machines. Doesn't work
Tried restarting Windows in both machines. Doesn't work
Tried transferring files from either of the machines being hosts. Same problem.

So i tried everything, i can't transfer. Sometimes, like once in 50 tries, i actually manage to transfer a file for some reason. The click and drag suddenly works for a moment or the paste command isn't grayed out. But that's rare and completely random.

Is this a known issue?

Thanks in advance.

File copying in Teamviewer is done through the File Transfer window/pane. There is no "drag and drop" or "cut and paste" unfortunately. That File Transfer window is not super user friendly, but it works well.

Huh, i've never seen this panel.... i was using copy-paste until the last few days until the problems started...

I suppose i will try to find this function then.
