Automatic Account Assignment
« on: April 26, 2016, 04:33:09 AM »
Hi,

I have corporate teamviewer license.
I need to deploy TeamViewer to more than 1000 computers. I designed custom module.
After deploying of teamviewer to group of test computers i noticed that automatic account assignment is not working.

How i configured automatic account assignment.

1. I changed custom host msi file to iclude idc prefix and configuration ID
2. I created SCP in Adsi Edit. I created TeamViewer container in root location, after that i created serviceConnectionPoint named TrustConfigIDs. I set attribute values to TeamViewer and B15CB251-377F-46FB-81E9. Finally i set serviceBIndingInformation attribute to my configuration id.
3. Deployed .msi file through GPO.

After deployment i can see Computer names in management console but when i try to connect to client, i need to enter the password to connect. When i check configuraiton on client side i see that client is not automatically assigned to Teamviewer account.

What seems to be the problem ?

You don't actually need that to achieve what you want.

In computers and contacts, you can save the password under properties.
Then you won't be asked for password again.

Don't know how you would automate that for 100 PCs.
Have you asked teamviewer official support?

Which password you are reffering to. After custom host GPO deployment, user can se only his ID. There is no password.
And like i said you automate that with SCP which isn't working.

Support is not answering to my emails or opened tickets.

Hi,

You mean same pass for all users ?
That would be huge security risk for my organization.

So if understand correctly, you want individualised passwords, then I'd guess that you manually need to go to all computers and set a permanent, individual password,

or you could have set Teamviewer to use Windows credentials, and rely on AD to get the security right...
