hey all,
i'm trying to use the wake on lan feature in Teamviewer but it doesn't appear to be working- i have computer A in sleep mode (connected to local LAN using ethernet) and when i click on the "Wake up" option in Teamviewer on computer B, nothing happens- i would expect some sort of dialogue should appear indicating a connection attempt is being made, but literally nothing happens on screen, i just keep clicking the Wake up button and nothing happens.
might this be an indication that computer A doesn't support wake on lan, or maybe it's a Teamviewer issue? the Teamviewer client on computer A has the ID for computer B set to allow wake up, and the magic packet setting for the ethernet connection is enabled, the only thing i can't confirm is whether or not the motherboard/BIOS supports wake on lan- i can't find any options in the BIOS. is there a simple way for me to test wake on lan support? i don't have dynamic dns or port forwarding set up on my router.
both computers are running Teamviewer v11.0.59518 on Windows 10 Pro 32 bit.
any help is greatly appreciated. thanks!
