Is There A Way To Make Teamviewer Secure?
« on: August 21, 2016, 03:19:10 AM »
The one thing that really concerns me about Teamviewer is the way that it always connects via the Internet even when it isn't necessary, and there doesn't seem to be any way to restrict access. If anyone hacks my account, then they have full access to them.

Is there any way to limit access so that only my own PC's can access each other? The only two functions I need with Teamviewer are the remote desktop and the wake on lan. Is it possible to  limit these so they only work on the local network? I really don't want people from the internet being able to wake and access my PC's. I know that it is possible to configure remote desktop to do this, but I am not sure about wake on lan. I might add that it is also crazy that all my PC's are in my house and yet Teamviewer seems to be sending everything in and out of the internet. There really needs to be some way to make Teamviewer more secure, and less of a bandwidth hog for people like me who don't want internet access to my PC's.
