Author Topic: Personal user for the last 10 months.... Now on one PC trial is expired????  (Read 3583 times)

Hi,

My situation/set up is as follows:
2 geographic locations 500km apart

Where I live:
  • My Windows 10 Home Desktop PC
  • My Windows 7 Work Desktop PC
  • My Android phone

My remote astronomy Observatory/My Parents house:
  • My Windows 10 Lenovo Laptop (observatory)
  • Mom's Windows 10 ACER Laptop
  • Dad's Windows 7 Desktop PC


I've been using teamviewer for the last 10 months and it has been great. For 9 of those months I just used my Mom's ACER laptop to connect to My Lenovo Laptop outside. Then at the end July added My Dad's PC to the mix for a wired connection to use LAN instead of internet and created an account. That worked fine all up until Aug 15, 2016 when I finally started using it from my Home Desktop. When I started using it there, I was able to connect, but not control. So I uninstalled it and for a few nights, used the run once. I then reinstalled teamviewer and everything was set up and good to go. Since then I have been periodically connecting to My Lenovo Laptop using the "run once" set up from my Work Desktop to shut down the telescopes properly in the morning. Everything was still working as planned. Then yesterday night (Aug 28, 2016) I went to log in from my Home Desktop to do some astrophotography and I received a trial expired message and could not connect. In desperation to not waste a good clear night, I extended the trial. And of course it worked.

How come my HOME DESKTOP is being flagged as commercial??!??!

My desktop at work has no problems using the "run once" setup and is not showing the trial expired.
My Lenovo Laptop is still working fine, no trial expired.
My Dad's Windows 7 Desktop is still working fine, no trial expired.
My Mom's ACER Windows 10 Laptop is still working fine, no trial expired.
My Android phone is still working fine, no trial expired.

So what gives????? I haven't used teamviewer in any capacity what so ever to make money. I am not being paid while I use to teamviewer from my work computer. My mom and dad aren't paying me anything nor am I paying them anything. I've only used it for personal use. There is no way I am going to pay $600 for a personal license (that's way to much money for something that isn't making me any money). What the hell!?!? Please help!!!
