Title: Android client controls windows host client having mouse issue
Post by: ivill on October 09, 2016, 11:21:09 PM
Hi, after i installed the lastest windows insider preview builds 14942, when i'm using android client to control my PC, while the mouse click/right click action having issue, it looks like doing a "click&hold" action, the same issue i got on the other cellphone client,i believe it was a bug, never seen this before, how can i provice logs if neccesery? i wish microsoft or teamviewer could resolve it at future update ASAP

let me explain the screenshots on the attachment:

A: On TV(v11.0.5173) for Android, connected to TV host(v11.0.66695.H) for Windows(Windows 10 Enterprise Insider preview builds 14942), Left click on an item

B: Mousemove down, it will drag the item down (in normal, it surely won't do a click&drag action)

I'm having the same issue, with the Windows client, also controlling a Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14942 remote machine. It's nearly impossible to use the mouse. Either the left-mouse click isn't recognized, or it turns into a drag, or a hold down (which makes using scroll bars difficult). Also, the mouse wheel doesn't seem to scroll as fast as it should (seems to be one line at a time). I'm kinda able to work around this by left clicking, waiting a second, then slightly moving the mouse and that seems to refresh the screen.

I wasn't able to find your issue in the Feedback Hub to upvote it, so I opened my own.

And still with Insider Build 14955. I'll see if I can report this directly to TeamViewer support and see if they say anything.

I know we've got the thread over on the official TeamViewer forums now, but wanted to update here that I got a response to my ticket.

Thank you for your message.

Due to the rapid changes for any operating system that is under development, we do not support operating systems that are not the final version as there may be changes that may break the software that would not be included in the final release.

These rapid changes would put undue workload on our development team to fix an issue that is not going to be included in a final

For your particular case the Windows Anniversary update is the last supported version build 14393.

If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us.

TeamViewer now "closed" my ticket:

Since we have not received further feedback regarding the ticket resolution, we will proceed to place the ticket into closed status as we assume the issue has been resolved. If you feel the case has not been resolved, then please respond, and the ticket will be reopened for further investigation. Thank you for contacting TeamViewer Support!

The latest response to my ticket is to upgrade to the final released version of TV12 and see if that works.

That's encouraging. I'm downloading that build now. I thought the Insider Program was going to be paused longer when they announced last week they were switching to the UUP method. I scanned the release notes and don't see anything that would seem to apply to this issue, but glad to hear it's better for you! I'll report back when I finish upgrading ...

The closest release note that might be related towards the fix is:
Quote
  • We fixed an issue where the Virtual Touchpad’s left and right buttons might not work on some devices. We also fixed an issue where the Virtual Touchpad wouldn’t launch if the primary monitor was non-touch, and added the Virtual Touchpad icon to the Taskbar settings where you can Turn system icons on or off.

I hope it works for you too!!

I've concluded my testing.
All my tests indicate that Windows 10 Insider Build 14986, solved the issues with clicking and right-clicking.
