Teamviewer for Windows / WebDAV access through Teamviewer connection?
« Last post by pstein on September 17, 2019, 10:57:16 PM »
My Teamviewer remote control with "normal" GUI from Win7 notebook (client) to Win7 DesktopPC (server) works without problems.

However what I sometimes additionally need is a kind of pure files/directory access-only onto the remote computer.

The problem is that my DesktopPC is in an inhouse LAN which in turn is behind a cable network (router).
Since this cable network works NOT with IPv4 but with a special DSlite protocol I cannot use the "common" techniques to access
the remote desktop pc with "net use" commands or something like that.

I prefer not to use a VPN.

So I am investigating at first a way to access the remote desktop pc through a teamviewer connection

Transferring many files through the TeamViewer GUI is on the long-term unhandy and cumbersome.
I don't need GUI for this task which slows down transfer speed of files.

So I would like to ask for a solution.

How can I browse through a remote dir tree and transfer files in bulk through a teamviewer connection WITHOUT (activated) GUI?

An almost perfect way would be if I could use an existing teamviewer connection and enter a WEBDAV command on top.
This way I could mount a remote directory locally on my notebook as new drive in Windows Explorer.

Is this possible?

OK, it's bye-bye time for Teamviewer. It was nice while it lasted. Chrome Remote Desktop and AnyDesk (coupled with Dropbox for file transfer) are sweet. I'm not going to waste my time recommending TV to anyone.

Teamviewer for Linux / Connection Question
« Last post by mdavidjohnson on August 21, 2019, 11:50:21 AM »
I'm running TeamViewer 14.4.2669 in Debian 10 Buster.

One of my machines is installed in a different city where my son and grandchildren live. It has separate user accounts for each of them, a sudoer account for me, and I can also ssh in to the root account if necessary.

I'm having difficulty establicshing a robust TeamViewer connection mechanism between here and there.

If I start TeamViewer from my sudoer account in person in that other city, it comes up with "Allow Remote Control ID X XXX XXX XXX on which I've installed a personal password". From my location back here, I can then access that machine in that other city from TeamViewer with no problem.

However, if I logout from that machine so one of the grandkids can get on, the TeamViewer session drops out and I can no longer connect.

I've tried going to the Command Line Interface at my location back here and SSHing to their machine and then entering:
   export DISPLAY=:0
   nohup teamviewer &

It starts TeamViewer on the grandkids' machine, but with "Allow Remote Control ID Y YYY YYY YYY" ( where Y YYY YYY YYY does not equal X XXX XXX XXX ), and ONLY if I'm loggen in personally there. So that idea didn't work.

I need to be able to login at odd hours to check the remote machine's status. I can do that via SSH if necessary, but TeamViewer would be nicer.

Any suggestions?

Teamviewer for Linux / How to move a connection to a new group?
« Last post by HippoMan on August 17, 2019, 10:06:23 AM »
I'm running TeamViewer 14.5.1691 under Linux.

I have a number of connections set up, and some of them appear in the "My Computers" group.
I want to move some of them to another group, which I am calling "Local". I have been
unable to find a way to do this, neither in the Linux TeamViewer GUI, nor via the TeamViewer
web site.

I can show the "Properties" of each of these connections, and the name of the group is shown.
However, those properties are greyed out and do not permit changes.

Is there any way I can move these connections to a new group?

Thank you very much.

Yep, any news from TeamViewer would be great, or I'll have to look for a different solution

Teamviewer for Mac/iPad/iPhone / COMMERCIAL USE DETECTED
« Last post by Danl on August 02, 2019, 04:41:06 PM »
OK, I log onto TV, and I get the "COMMERCIAL USE DETECTED" pane, saying that I'm going to be allowed only 5 minutes of connect time. WTF? I am not doing commercial use with it, and I am not even affiliated with a commercial outfit. In my many years of using TB, I have NEVER seen this message. Not doing anything different now. I rebooted, and looked for malware. Nothing found. No applications running except for TV. No change. I log on to a remote machine of a relative every few days for a few minutes. Hardly ever transferring any files, and if so, they are small.

Selecting MORE INFO doesn't get me any more info. It just connects me to the remote machine.

What's going on???

I realize lots of people have this problem, but I've managed to avoid it so far.

Using another machine on my network, everything works fine.

Teamviewer for Windows / Windows and Mac. Work and Home.

Hi all

I currently have the free version of TV on my Work PC.
And the free version of TV on my home Mac.

I would like to buy the pro/business version to remove the time limit.
However, sometimes I would like to dial in work from home and then sometimes dial home from work.

Can I buy one license which will travel with me, so to speak (like Photoshop allows a work and laptop with 1 license), or do I need to buy x2 licenses?

Cheers

Steve

There are so many VPNs available nowadays and you can also use the free ones. I am quite concerned about my security so I have got the paid one- HMA. Well, I was just looking for some information regarding the marketing services as well because I want to promote my new business. Can you recommend PPC and facebook ads Los Angeles services?
