I'll try an older version, but that's probably a waste of time. My other XP machine works with the lastest version, using the same account, to the same remote ID's. There's something wrong with either the install or the machine. Nothing else on this machine is failing, so my guess it is the install. My next step will be to uninstall Teamviewer using Revo Uninstaller, which does a good job of removing registry entries and well hidden directories that the official installers usually seem to miss or ignore.
As for the number of repeated connections, I use Teamviewer to mostly to cleanup minor problems at various friends machines. Also to administer several remote weather stations and ham radio related computers. I would guess about four ID's have been accessed about 50 times. The rest, maybe 15 times each. I don't know how Teamviewer detects commercial use, but it seems silly to use the number of times one connects to an ID, which is simply an indication of how long Teamviewer has been installed and in use.
Is there a .REG file that will purge Teamviewer 8 from the registry completely, including all the entries the regular uninstall leaves behind?
Thanks.
