Teamviewer connects, authenticates, then nothing.
« on: November 17, 2013, 12:58:18 PM »
Hi I have recently come across an issue while trying to connect to my parent's machine. I enter the ID and it attempts to connect but nothing comes of it.
They can connect to my machine easily without fail.
I am able to connect to my server without fail, as well as the teamviewer test (ID 12345).

I am using TV 8, and they are using TV 7. However I have tried with versions 7 and 6 as well and I get the same problem.
I have tried connecting while logged in and while logged out.

I am completely stuck on what to do. Any help is appreciated. Should note that both machines are running windows 7. Mine is ultimate and theirs is home premium.

What level of user is logged on at the remote end?
Have you tried having a 'chat' first?

Have you tried restarting the remote computer, and then trying again?

We were on the phone during the whole ordeal. And both computers have been reset.
