Glad to find the forum but. . .

A couple of things seem odd. First is, there is no mention anywhere on the TeamViewer website (I may have missed it) about having a forum. Going on the assumption that this truly does belong to TV then you would think it would behoove them to have a 'Forum' or 'Community' link on their website. A forum was one of the first things I looked for when evaluating the program.
Second, my highly tuned Security+ sense (spidey sense for security geeks) has noticed that the address for this forum is not located within the www.teamviewer.com domain proper. I would expect something like http://forums.teamviewer.com or www.teamviewer.com/forums. Also, there's no TeamViewer branding anywhere throughout these forums that I've noticed.
Anyone else notice that? Is it too late at night and my brain is too mushy from the days work that I'm somehow wrong on all these points?

Hmm Another odd thing.
The email I received from the "TV Forum" to activate my account came from "TeamViewer Forum  ( gmail address removed)"
Anyone else getting that tingly feeling?

it seems someone thinks that perhaps this forum was created with some nefarious objective in mind:
It does not, this forum was created by a Team Viewer user who, in looking for answers, discovered there was not a forum.
a quick check found the url and threw up this forum in hopes that it would become a useful source of information for a pretty great piece of software.


That is all there is/was to it.

I, too, thank you, admin!  And in my experience, forums BY USERS rather than by the software developer, tend to be more helpful.  User-to-user support just blossoms, and there is little (notice I didn't say NO) editing or censoring -- you end up with real-world user experiences with the particular product(s), warts and all.  As it should be.

Also, savvy developers and support folks on the company's payroll tend to "lurk", either providing tid-bits and snatches of assistance, or just watching what/how folk are doing with their software.
