Can't connect unless user logs in first.
« on: August 01, 2011, 05:09:57 PM »
I should be able to connect to my computer remotely before logging in locally, correct?  If so, then I am having trouble doing so.
I do have "Start TeamViewer with Windows" enabled. It isn't until I've logged on locally that I see my computer go from offline to online.

OS: Windows 7 64-bit
TeamViewer version: 6.0.10722
license: free

Im kind of lost at which "direction" you are looking here( or viewing)...you want to see the remote machine before someone is logged into it?

I got it working by explicitly allowing teamviewer outgoing connections to the loopback adapter in my firewall (Comodo).  That's what was preventing the teamviewer_service from successfully starting. Since it was before logon, I couldn't get an alert to let me know to what was happening.

i'm experiencing same issue of not being able to log into a teamviewer remote computer running xp and local computer running windows 8, until it is logged into windows. not sure how to make any necessary changes to my firewall should this be the issue. I did check firewall settings on remote computer and teamviewer is listed is an exception for blocked connections. i did notice that i am indeed able to connect to remote computer successfully when simply logged off but not fully rebooted versus not being able to connect when remote computer is fully rebooted.
