Corp use on V5, personal Use on V6: How to pull this off?
« on: January 03, 2012, 10:08:06 AM »
Scenario:
I use V5 on the job. We have a single channel license and my work laptop has this license info registered on it. I have no need for V6, V7 etc... nor do I wish to ask management to upgrade out V5 license because it does what we want well.

Personally, I use TV to fix problems on my parents, wife, kids machines. Now I would like the option of doing this with an Android app. But when I connect to those 'personal' machines with android (which are at V5) I get a message saying they need to be updated.

Fine. I do that.

Next I try to connect with my work laptop, of course it does not work. So I install V6, AND KEEP V5 (for official corp use). Yet, I still cannot connect to my 'personal' machines as my trial period has expired for V6. What is my recourse here? I do not think what I want to do is too far fetched. Why is it so difficult for TV to understand this?

FYI:TV 'About' reports
"License: Premiuim"
"Account License: Free"
