Restart in safe mode triggers normal startup

Hey guys,

Im using Teamviewer to connect with my parents homevideo/fileserver from my Laptop. Unluckily the server produces an error 41, which is why I would like to start up the server in safe mode.
When clicking on Actions => Restart => Restart in Safe Mode, the server restarts but instead of safe mode is starts in normal mode.

How can I solve this?


Telling my parents to restart the server in safe mode is not an option, as the server has no monitor/keyboard and they dont know how to start it in safe mode (and Im 1000km away). Moreover, I cannot go msconfig => start => start in safe mode with network connection, because there wont be any autostart available so Teamviewer wont startup then and I will not be able to connect to the machine.
