TV 8 Ubuntu 12.1 - no appindicator or system tray icon
« on: February 16, 2013, 06:44:19 AM »
Hi,
Clean installs of both Ubuntu 12.1 and TV 8.0.17147

After initial install TV opens and systray or appindicator is present. Reboot system and no systray or appindicator. Run TV and still no tray or indicator. Same behavior seen on 2 separate ubuntu 12.1 systems.

How to get the systray/appindicator to show again?

Regards
BaD

Hi,
Quick update, you dont even need to reboot,  I just done a fresh install on a clean ubuntu, and the icon appears fine on first run, then exit TV and run it again,  no icon. So it only appears at first run,  Quite annoying to have to keep the TV window open or in taskbar all the time, so some hint on how I can get the system try to appear again would be really nice

Another Update,
TV Support has confirmed this as a bug and are working to fix it.
