64 bit vs 32 bit
« on: June 20, 2013, 12:06:54 AM »
I downloaded the standalone version and am having trouble connecting to this particular pc (windows 8, 64bit) - it's extremely slow.

Normally, TV works faster than other remote control programs but on this PC it's really slow for some reason.

I noticed in task manager the TV running is 32 bit. I saw no option of downloading the 64 bit version when I downloaded it.

Do you think this could be the problem?

I'm not sure that there is a native 64 bit version of Teamviewer...

Any idea of a workaround?

I've used TV on Windows 8 64 bit machines, and Server 2012 64 Bit Machines (and earlier releases) and not noticed the issue that you are having.

I normally find that if TV doesn't work to desired speed that the remote computer that I am controlling has poor bandwidth

Hmm, not sure then. I tried other RD software and it works fine with those. TV is normally the fastest of the RD's for me but not for these windows 8, 64bits (3 of them that I've tried).
