Popups every 5 minutes or so??

I am not sure what version I am running, but will check when I get home.

I run Windows 7 64-Bit. I use TeamViewer on occasion personally to log on to my home computer. Sometimes I start a download or use my Graphic software. Not usually very long. I connect from work using Windows XP Pro.

A few days ago I had a problem. I connected and shortly after either I closed TeamViewer by accident instead of closing the software I was using, or I got disconnected. I can't remember. I could not reconnect.

When I got home, there was a pop up advertisement for Teamviewer on the screen which said about the free version and the paid version. I closed it and went to watch a tv show. About 5 minutes or so later the tv show minimizes and that pop up shows up.

It keeps coming back every 5 or 10 minutes. I exited TeamViewer completely to get it to stop.

Is this normal and is there a way to stop it? I've had TeamViewer installed for awhile now with no issues. Maybe it did a recent update?

ive not seen that pop up with those popups, do check the versions, make sure they are updated across th board on all the machines you use, try to connect in reverse between machines and see if the same behavior occurs. download teamviewer form official source , directly from the teamviewer page
you can also send a support request through the link in my signature just to get that route started, always good to see/hear what answer comes directly form teamviewer( post any response here)
follow up with any changes and make sure all your AV and malware scans are clean.
