Hi,
I've been using teamviewer for 4 years now, most of the time it's been working.
I don't use it very often, the occasional family remote support, and sometimes to connect to my home computers.
But I have to say that in the past year or so, it has mostly disappointed me.
3 issues are been particularly annoying:
1. on mac os, I would connect to a remote computer, the software seems to successfully connect to the remote computer, but the remote control window never shows up. I could do this several times. then after some time (1 or 2 hours, not sure) I get the popup that says thank you for using team viewer, play fair and stuff.
2. The target computer would sometimes reject my remote connection (and I don't need to type a password, so no typo can be blamed here). The remote computer says: connection rejected. my computer says connection failed. It's really frustrating when the remote pc rejects, without any explanation of what is wrong. 2 days later, it may work again. And both computers are on the same account, they see each other as being online, I can use the chat functionality.
3. When I want to quit teamviewer on my mac, but it doesn't work. I cannot force-quit the application neither (tried from the GUI and from the terminal). Mac Os's activity monitor just says that teamviewer is not responding. The only way to get back into teamviewer is to reboot my mac.
2 weeks ago, I really needed to access my home computer from my hotel, teamviewer decided to enforce issue number 2 (and also issue number 3 after a little while). that was too much for and I got so mad. I decided to install something called "logmein" instead.
I was really impressed by how logmein works, the browser plug-in, all the stats, speed is about the same as teamviewer. And it really worked well.
so, thank you teamviewer for offering me the chance to open my eyes. We had mostly good years together but I can't stand your changes of mood anymore. Time for a new relationship.
