TV9 shows always online, even it's powered off
« on: January 15, 2014, 01:11:34 AM »
I have a couple of PCs at home, but one has a strange behavior...

...It's a Windows 8.1 x64 with 9.0.24951, like the most other PCs (this is also Host for an XP VM (VMware-player), also with TV 9.0.24951).

All my PCs (physical and virtual) are located behind the same Frotz!Box DSL-Router, which has no outgoing restrictions. All the PCs have the Windows Firewall and Windows Defender with the same Settings active. It seems, the Installation of TV has added some rules to the Windows Firewall, but Windows Defender has no exceptions (on all PCs the same).

All my PCs change to offline in the GUI if they are hibernated, stand-by or shut-down (power off) - but not my own: It shows still "online" - even after a whole Weekend powered off.

Any clue, how to fix this behavior?

Is that because Wake On LAN has been enabled for your machine perhaps? (a new TV9 feature)

No, WOL ist disabled in TV9.
But it's enabled on the NIC, as on all of my other Computers, to wake them with MyFRITZ!.
