TV log in security
« on: February 19, 2014, 06:05:12 AM »
Hi all

I'm one of the disgruntled ex logmein free users, now using TV.

One thing that logmein provided was an optional extra layer of security for their log in, i.e. a 2-stage log in procedure where an access code was forwarded to my email address. I then entered the access code in the 2nd step of the login. Ok - the log in took slightly longer, but worth the effort to my mind.

I believe that TV offer this facility to pro user, but not for the free version.

I would have thought that all extra security measures would be available on the free version too - anyone agree?

There is an item at the bottom of the following URL entitled 'Two Factor Authentication':
http://www.teamviewer.com/en/products/security.aspx

Looks like a similar facility to the logmein Two Factor Authentication

I only ver 8, so it must be new in Ver 9

I can't see any detail on how to access it though

Hi matt

Thanks for looking. Maybe if someone out there is using this facility, they could update this thread.
