The username and password ... no account?
« on: April 14, 2014, 07:36:08 PM »
I was going to add to the existing topic, but it's almost a year old........

OK.......  downloaded teamviewer and installed the basic installation on the desktop.
Registered, went through the silliness, and the account was validated.  WORKS FINE.
I can log in and see the desktop in the list of machines........

Installed exactly the same software - put the .exe on a thumbdrive and plugged it into the laptop - on the laptop.
Did the SAME basic installation.
Tried to log in.....  Used EXACTLY the same email address and password I used on the desktop.

Got "The username and password you entered do not not match any accounts on record"

I'm sitting here LOGGED into one machine and TV is telling me the account doesn't exist...

Shouldn't I have ONE account for all the machines?  And shouldn't I be ABLE to log in from ANY of those machines?
And be able to remotely control any of the machines from any other machine?

Oh nice

And you are welcome

Sorry for wasting your time with my 'useless' idea...me volunteering here and all.  ::)

Yes you should ONLY need one account
Yes you should be able to log in from any machine with the same account details

You should ONLY need to log in to see your 'computers and contacts' list.
You can remotely control another machine without logging into either, you just need to know the ID and the password.
