TeamViewer running on a virtual machine...
« on: November 15, 2015, 03:18:14 PM »
Hello, first time posting here. I did a search on the forum (as well as through Google) hoping to find an answer to my question, but I wasn't able to. So, if this has been asked and answered before, I sincerely apologize.

I have Windows 7 installed. Let's call this Computer A.

I then created a virtual machine, also running Windows 7, inside Computer A and have installed TeamViewer on it. Let's call this Computer B.

My first question is this:

Is someone able to connect to me on Computer B (the virtual machine) and know that they are connected to a virtual machine? Or will they think that that are connected to a normal computer?

Second question:

While connected to me via Computer B, they wouldn't be able to take control of Computer A, right? If I wanted them to have access to both, they would need to connect to me through Computer A.

Am I understanding that part correctly?

Thank you in advance!

matt

1. They won't know it's a virtual computer unless they search drives, then windows explorer kind of gives it away.

2. Correct on both parts, although you connect them them to both computer A and Computer B separately if you like (they can have sessions open at once)
