Automated account assignment - Full version - Logged off
« on: August 29, 2016, 11:39:37 PM »
Hi everyone

Working on integrating Teamviewer at my company.

I've managed to get automated account assignment to work with host installs (using a service connection point and host msi with idc prefix) but the same won't work with full version msi. I was advised by TeamViewer support that full version account assignment is not officially supported, but is known to work, however in the current version it is not working and is a 'known issue'.

The other problem I have is that automated account assignment with the host is only working while a user is logged on. If no one is logged on, the account assignment doesn't happen until someone logs in and opens TeamViewer.exe for the first time.

Has anyone encountered these problems or have any advice

Thanks!

Did you manage to get rid of that pesky dialogue that pops up, asking the user to allow the device to be assigned to the account?
If so, how?
Any input would be much appreciated.

Hey rosselur,

You should have a read of the MSI deployment manual. When you download the MSI from the website (https://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/windows/msi/) it will come with a manual.

Basically to remove the account assignment dialog box the computer has to be in a domain and you need to create a service connection point in Active Directory

If you have any more questions about this, can you please start a new thread? I'm still waiting for answers on my original question
