Author Topic: My teamviewer ID is the same as someone elses in another country  (Read 3602 times)

Suddenly I couldn't login to my computer on teamviewer.  It told me the authentication failed.  I validated it and tried a few more times.  Still no luck. 
The next day I had no issues in just clicking on the device, came right up.  Then later that same day, I had the password issue again.
I turned off my device and the device still showed in my list of active devices on teamviewer.   Hmmm.  Next I opened a chat window and the person on the other end of the chat, from another country tried their best to communicate with me in chat and told me they had the same exact TYPE of computer (brand model). 
I want to know how to change my computer's ID to ANYTHING else so it won't be the same as this other person's device.
